The developers have released a test version of Minecraft 1.17.0.52 for Android. This update has made over 30 changes to Caves and Cliffs and fixed 17 bugs.
Experimental mode
These changes are now available without the Caves and Cliffs slider in the map settings:
Axolotl and Glowing Octopus
Changed spawn rules: now they can spawn in any biome up to Y = 63 instead of Y = 30. There are also other changes associated with them:
Loose snow
Now available outside Experimental Mode. Several changes:

In addition to the above, the developers have made 23 more changes in the update "Caves and Rocks".
Bug fixes
Fixed 17 bugs. We have listed the main ones:
Experimental mode
These changes are now available without the Caves and Cliffs slider in the map settings:
- Axolotl
- Glowing octopus, ink and frames
- Deep slate
- Amethysts
- Lush caves
- Dropper
- Goat
- Copper
- Moss block
- Raw ore
Changed spawn rules: now they can spawn in any biome up to Y = 63 instead of Y = 30. There are also other changes associated with them:
- Available outside experimental mode
- Missing game sounds added to Axolotl
- Axolotls now swim more actively
- Fixed a bug due to which the cards in the Glowing Frames did not glow
Now available outside Experimental Mode. Several changes:
- Available in the creative inventory
- If you try to fill an already filled cauldron with loose snow, a block of loose snow will be installed on top
- Boilers fill up in snowy weather, a convenient source of loose snow
- Most mobs cannot walk on loose snow
- Buckets can be used to collect loose snow
In addition to the above, the developers have made 23 more changes in the update "Caves and Rocks".
- Cobblestone and Crushed Shale can now be used for repairing stone objects on an anvil
- Glowing lichen closer to the surface
- Glowing lichen now appears in the correct color on the map
- Painted text on tablets has become brighter
- All Amethyst related blocks are available in the Creative Inventory
- The Spyglass is available in the Creative Inventory
- Crushed Slate is available in the Creative Inventory
- Azalea Foliage is now has the correct color on the map
- Small Hardleaf can now be placed on moss
- Lush Cave Blocks are now available in the Creative Inventory
- Water dripping from stalactites < li> Goat no longer drops mutton when killed
- Two Waxed Copper Half Blocks can now be combined into one Waxed Block
- Copper and Lightning Rod are available in the Creative Inventory
- Now with Cyrus Coy with the Luck enchantment drops more Raw Ore
Fixed 17 bugs. We have listed the main ones:
- Fixed the work of multiplayer games
- Fixed underwater fog
- Boats break again when hitting a cactus
- Ifrit and Endermaster take splash damage from water bottles again
- Updated loading screen
- Mobs and entities make sounds again when entering water
Don't forget the Caves and Rocks. Activate "Caves and Cliffs" in the map settings.
